that is seriously gimped. i hope they release an “epileptic” pack with all its seizure inducing glory. first day buy regardless.

Rob Hayes on September 11, 2008 at 20:37

They both look the same to me!? Either way, looks good… can’t wait to try it out.

wtf where did all the detail go? :(

Navid on September 12, 2008 at 0:02

Yeah, they really should have included the feature as a option in the game that users could turn on or off…

Hoping they patch it in in the future.

Sakimori_X on September 12, 2008 at 0:05

It’s a damn shame they had to cut the EQ-like textures. It was quite a technical achievement, too. Is this all they cut to get past the epilepsy concerns? As much as it sucks that they dropped this, I’d feel a little better knowing that they didn’t mess with the track layouts themselves, or the overall gaming experience outside of Zone mode.

i agree with previous comments: They should really have made this an option! The preview build looks so much better.

Simeon718 on September 12, 2008 at 0:17

Wow, this is amazing!!! I noticed the detail is not as good, but this is great for only $19.99.

Klump3n on September 13, 2008 at 10:53

Oh man, I was really looking forward to this feature, it looks SO cool… should really considered to be an option.

Jim on September 29, 2008 at 21:36

I agree, somebody should e-mail sony liverpool and request they issue a pack that’s optionally downloadable.

Must be quite hard for them to add a menu option to switch modes. They are able to code a whole 3D game, but can’t add a small menu option.
