Oh my god.

You only get to face 2 maybe 4 enemies at once. You want me to believe that the PS3 has power, put at least 20 guys on the screen with dynamic AI instead of this scripted crap. All this game is for is just for looks. All looks and no substance. At least Haze looks like fun.

This may look good visually but the gameplay looks lame.

And you realize that CoD4 was script-heavy right? In fact, the whole single player campaign was scripted. I guess that makes CoD4 a “lame” game.

CoD 4 single player is lame, its multiplayer is amazing. On one hand you have Resistance 2 which has a lot of enemies on the screen in huge levels, then you have Killzone 2 with its constrained levels and a few enemies which only react to you when you directly shoot them.

And I have seen the other videos. They look pretty, but they offer no advancement in gameplay. This may be the graphical FPS game the PS3 needs, but it seems hollow in comparison to Resistance 2.

I love the cinematic feel of the game (the part on the turrent) truely gives the player the feeling and vibe thats being presented. Also the characters in the game have personality which is a +.

The textures feel bland in the world and on the characters clothing. But the lighting is where the true eye candy is

This game would be better on the PC instead of the shitty PS3, the PC version would have better controls, better graphics, mods, free online play and just plain better plus I could hook up my PC to a 50″ HDTV and it would still look better, sorry sonyfriends and xbots but the PC just kicks your outdated POS consoles.

ok. 1st off the ps3 has a 7 core 3.5 proser, is the most powerfull console on the planet, the graphics are better then any game on PC. the ps3 is only working at a fraction of wot it realy can do, dovelopers still have not unlocked its power.

oh and ITS FREE TO PLAY ON PSN! (unlike xbox where u have to pay for everything!)

Meh at all the PS3 is just at the beginning, will own 360. Jesus, I own booth systems and there is not a single game where the PS3 owns the 360 in terms of processing power. Even Bioshock runs the same as on 360 (with worse graphics on the PS3)

Sigh, it really is a pain to read stuff like that. I love my PS3, but you really have to realise that it is not going to beat a high end PC. Its got a better CPU than the 360 but a lesser GPU… and surprise surprise, its the GPU that does the graphical grunt. Plus I get fed up of this “untapped potential” rubbish that keeps coming out. Why is it not getting used?!

Christ I’ve got a 8600GT DDR3 GPU in my LAPTOP and that just about punches above the 360 and PS3 thanks to the resolution.

Having said that, KZ2 looks amazing and I’m really hoping to get a hands on with the beta to see whether I prefer this or R2 for my first person fix. Feedback from the people at the EG Expo generally said that Left4Dead, LBP, Gears 2, Mirrors Edge and KZ2 really stole the show.

Just for context, do not own 360, just a PS3. Love the machine, hate the console war. Its just media created balls.

In the original Killzone on the PS2, there was one level where you had to defend a beachhead with 5 other soldiers while over 60 Helghast came in landing boats WITH a tank providing support. So i doubt Killzone 2 on the PS3 will have ‘2 or 4′ dynamic enemies on screen at once fool.

what are u talking about ??? the hole damn lighting system for this game is Dynamic!! just like cryisis …

and the ai isnt scripted the only thing thats scripted is the death animations after as a ragdoll effect after they die…..

now compare the death animations for crysis and the death animations for killzone 2 ……

and the gpu and the cell are meant to work together , are u dumb or what ? the significance of the gpu on the 360 being better than the ps3 is stupid , overal performance of the machine together will cell overlaps whatever the 360 can manage …. i suggest you see the specs for the motherboard itself it has a gigantic bus conecting the gpu and the cell combined with xdr ram that wops a 3.2 ghz compared to the 360 700mhz i belive, it enables the system to swap textures at a great deal of speed …

and by itself nvidia is more innovative than ati , ati almost went bankrupt and had to get bought by amd , and ass of now Nvidia has more tech on there cards Volumetric cloud rendering etc, … but the key thing is cell, cell plus rsx are going to make the ps3 compete big time, shit these Japanese people even made the damn power supply integrated to the system knowing better overall performance its not like the 360 that u have to carry a massive brick around with you all the time….

and another thing u CANNOT compare games that are 3rd party to see big system performance, when most party’s are using UE3 , that engine is not suited for cell nobody likes to scrip code for 8 spu’s separately… and then again all these games that come out on both consoles dont take advantage of the ps3 only so it can be “equal to its counterparts” … one of the only games ive seen do this is oblivion .. with bethesa puting aalll those textures uncompressed in the bluray and coding 2 spus for loading … and it not only loads better than 360 but is sharper tan 360 ……..

and another thing about games looking washed out all of you monkeys dont realise that in standard the ps3 has a less rgb range in the component cables , because it may fuck up ur cheap ass tv … and even then the setting can be changed to full rgb with hdmi conected , and even then devs can always adjust the colors with filters all of you kids in here dont realize that when ur bld on only one oem these lazy devs dont do that so obviously ur going to get a color difference , shit the only dev that did this was rockstar for gta they were the only ones that aded a filter for the ps3 and u can overal note the difference look it up ! and its still loads better than the 360 … because ps3 is standard on a hardrive

another thing u cant fucken compare a quad core to the cell why ? because the cell is striped down, Why ?? because it dosent run a damn operating system !

unlike a quad core it was made to run an operating system… but have to look at the obvious and look at what intel is planing on producing in 4 years from now ! yes A proc similar to “Cell” …

overal u can compare the ps3 to a pc but not to a top of the line pc that fucken costs 2000+, but shit u cant compare a 360 to any damn pc because the xenos i “belive the name correctly” is striped down aswell its so striped down it can even run linux, and look at the ps3 because of the spus u can run linux and only cell alone can render and raytrace damnn fucken good….
